  Published Apr 18, 2026

  Bear Costume Scam

Three California men, Alfiya Zuckerman, Ruben Tamrazian, and Vahe Muradkhanyan, were sentenced to 180 days in jail and two years of probation for a bizarre insurance scam involving a bear costume and luxury cars. They pleaded guilty to felony fraud and defrauded insurers out of $141,839. The scheme was exposed when biologists identified a human in a bear suit in viral videos, and investigators found the actual bear costume. The case was described as a textbook fraud that fooled no one. Support t
